Kathleen
Kathleen is the green-eyed Irish Country Lass I created while on my annual holiday in the Drakensberg Mountains. As usual, the doll kit is from Dianne Yunnie.
She is dressed in a simple frock of slightly off-white cotton, sprigged with mint green leaves. The dress is trimmed with two rows of off-white lace around the hem, as well as around the wide, boat-shaped neckline, waist and puffed sleeves. The same lace has been used to create the bodice front detail. Mint coloured silk ribbon bows trim the front and shoulders. The same colour ribbon holds her long red hair loosely at the side of her neck.
Underneath, she wears a white cotton petticoat trimmed with mint green lace around the hem. A pink rose has been embroidered where the petticoat has been revealed by the uplifted skirt.
Kathleen carries a natural coloured straw hat, trimmed with ribbon and flowers to protect her complexion from the sun. She also carries some white wild flowers she has picked in the fields.
