Lace Corner
This box started out as a full size cigar box. I glued the lid on then cut the whole box in half so that I had an equally sized lid and base. After adding some fancy brass hinges, the box now stands on end in a half open position. Shelves, some fancy filigree corner trims and a table top were added. The whole thing was then stained with dark brown shoe polish and then buffed to a soft sheen.
All the lace collars and fans were made of the tiny scraps of lace I could never bear to throw away! The hat and parasol were made in a workshop held by Dianne Yunnie. The silver coat hangers are charms I found in a scrapbooking shop. The working lamp in the corner is made of filigrees and beads from Tee Pee Crafts.
